Lara Pearson is the President of the Law Office of Lara Pearson, Ltd., an intellectual property (IP) law firm based in Incline Village, Nevada, on the northeast shore of Lake Tahoe. Lara focuses exclusively on trademarks, copyrights and rights of publicity, with expertise in protecting the IP rights of performing artists. Lara co-founded the State Bar of Nevada's Section of Intellectual Property Law, and is currently its Chairperson. She also teaches IP law in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Lara is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, and Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. After moving to Tahoe, she served as a legal intern to the Honorable Justice Miriam Shearing on the Nevada Supreme Court and worked for the Nevada State Public Defender's office. Lara is committed to doing her part to ensure that the natural environment is not only protected, but thriving, for generations to come. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, biking, climbing and snowboarding.
